Vasile Goldiș University Press, part of the West University „Vasile Goldiș” of Arad, has been active since 1995 (authorized by the Ministry of Culture, no. 3699/04.07.1995) and consistently supports the academic and scientific activity of the university. Over the years, it has published over 1,000 titles, including scholarly works, university textbooks, monographs, and literary volumes authored by contributors from Romania and abroad.
The Press is built around a dynamic team committed to publishing high-quality research and to strengthening the academic visibility of its authors. Its portfolio covers a wide range of fields, including medicine, dental medicine, law, pedagogy, psychology, and other humanities and socio-medical disciplines, featuring both specialized studies and academic course materials.
The editorial activity is structured into several main areas and book series, such as Ethics, Bioethics and Medical Sciences, coordinated by Prof. Coralia Cotoraci, and Cultural Studies, coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Cristian Bențe. These areas bring together thematic series dedicated to bioethics, philosophy of health, bioethics education, cultural and historical studies, disaster sociology, Holocaust studies, contemporary education, and the philosophy of globalization. The UVVG Lecture Notes series further supports the dissemination of the university’s teaching and research output.
Through its thematic diversity and academic rigor, Vasile Goldiș University Press aims to provide a professional and coherent framework for the publication and dissemination of scholarly research.
